The Malta Be Smart Online! project has sections for Kids, Teens, Parents and Educators.  It provides information on how to use the Internet safely.   It also provides the contact points in Malta for reporting Internet abuse, and where to get support for victims.

Project Background:  This project is co-financed by the EU through the Safer Internet Progamme.  It concerts the efforts of national stakeholders working towards the safer use of the Internet by children and youths.  Supporters include: Malta Communications AuthorityFoundation for Social Welfare ServicesDirectorate for Educational ServicesOffice of the Commissioner for ChildrenMalta Police Force, and the Secretariat for Catholic Education.

The UK Get Safe Online project has comprehensive sections including videos on Protecting yourself and your family, Protecting your PC, Protecting your (small) Business, and Resources for Parents, Teachers and Young People.  

Project Background:  

This project is a joint initiative between HM Government, the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) and leading businesses.  The project aims to help individuals and micro-businesses to protect themselves against Internet security risks.  Supporters include: Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, The Home Office, The Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure, The UK National Fraud Authority (NFA), The The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO), eCrimes Wales, The Information Systems Security Association (ISSA) and the Institute of Information Security Professionals.

Stay Smart Online logo

The Australian Stay Smart Online project has comprehensive sections for Kids, TeensHome Internet Users,  Small and Medium Sized Business, and for Schools and Teachers.  Topics covered include Securing your Mobile Phone, Protecting Yourself, and Protecting Your Children.  

The project also offers a free Stay Smart Online Alert Service, that provides information on the latest computer network threats and vulnerabilities in simple, non-technical, easy to understand language. It also provides solutions to help manage these risks.  Also be sure to check out the SCAMwatch website!

Project Background:  Stay Smart Online is the Austrlian Government's cyber security website designed to help everyday people understand cyber security risks and educate home and small business users on the simple steps they can take to protect their personal and financial information online.  The website is hosted by the Australian Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy and has received input and support from a range of other Australian Government agencies which have related responsibilities 

European Network Information Security Agency

The European Network Information Security Agency (ENISA) offer a series of highly accessible video clips on good information security practices that can be downloaded and/or displayed in any information security training programme, awareness activity or company website. 

ENISA also offer an excellent range of free photo-quality posters for raising information security awareness in organisations, and for parents.
